Hello,
I think this his one of Jesus’ most difficult to understand messages. Every time I read it I can’t help to think that I really don’t understand the true meaning of His words, and that I’m missing something truly important.
The tags you added to this passage (dilligence, industrious, talents…) give a hint about what you think Jesus meant. But I’m still not sure I understand…

The context is very important - I recommend spending a little time with the parable which this verse completes. By itself the passage will be difficult, as the conclusion of the parable its pretty clear.
