Revelation 2-3 Excerpts

This struck me enough to alter the usual format this morning :-)

7 times in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 Jesus says: “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

accompanied with:

“To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”

“He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”

“To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”

“he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations – ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ – as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.”

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.”

“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

Have an indescribably blessed Tuesday!

  1. Matthew Nelson Says:

I have been clean and sober for almost 21 years. I have always viewed these texts on “overcome”ing as promises I receive each day as I submit my will and life over to Him. My old ways brought pain and death. His way produces life overflowing in grace. Before I was never filled or satisfied, now I am fed each day with all I need. I am clothed in a new life. I have a new family to which I belong. I have a new home with an incredible big brother. All this comes not from me and my power, but but overcoming my natural self through submission to Him who loves me.

I woke up heavy hearted – praying some verses with the promises of God to forget about myself and focus on what is true and right. Financial stress is causing my husband and me to constantly choose to trust God but stress is just a thought away when I’m not thinking of how God is in control. The emails always are another random verse – but always what I need to hear. Thank you for doing your daily emails.

Oh Wow ! Thank you for this incredible reading. It is just what we need these days.
Thank you for your faithfulness. May the Lord abundantly bless you and yours.
